2. LOCK CHANGE

This may be one of the most important things you can do, you should change the lock in your home. You don’t know how many people are living in the building or if you are in a house. You simply don’t know how many people have a copy of your keys. So, it is better to change the locks and strengthen security at home.

3. FOOD & DRINKS

In the hustle and bustle of moving, we often forget to buy food to stock the fridge and pantry. By the time we realize we don’t have any food to eat its night time and there are no more deliveries. So, if you know that you won’t be cooking make sure to order food and drinks for you.

4. FINALIZE DOCUMENTS

You have to make the move official, so check what are some documents that you need to take care of. You may need to move a little bit to ensure that every document has had official transfers. Utilities, mailing address, internet connection and other things. This way you are covered and won’t have to be hassled over things.

When you first move in, all you really have to do is to make decisions about the space and make it official. Of course, since you are new to the neighborhood you should probably arrange a time to meet your new neighbors too.
